Aston Villa Football Club has confirmed that its 2026/27 adidas home shirts will officially feature the Visit Rwanda branding as the club begins retail sales of the new kits on August 7, marking the latest step in a multi-year partnership announced earlier this year. The branding will appear on newly sold home shirts, while adult jerseys will also continue to display the sleeve sponsorship associated with the club’s existing commercial partnership. Supporters who previously purchased unbranded 2026/27 home shirts before the sponsor’s addition will be offered the opportunity to have the Visit Rwanda logo professionally applied at no additional cost through designated club stores. The initiative applies to eligible shirts purchased in physical stores or through official retail channels, with customers advised that application times may vary depending on demand. Store locations, including Villa Park and the Bullring outlet in Birmingham, will provide the service during regular business hours.
The rollout reflects Aston Villa’s continued collaboration with Rwanda’s tourism promotion initiative, which seeks to raise international awareness of the country’s travel, investment, and cultural opportunities through global sports partnerships. In announcing the program, Aston Villa stated that supporters who already own eligible home shirts “can have the Visit Rwanda branding applied free of charge by the club,” underscoring its commitment to ensuring consistency across this season’s official merchandise. Rwandan authorities have consistently described the Visit Rwanda initiative as a strategic effort to showcase the country’s hospitality, conservation achievements, and tourism sector to worldwide audiences. Tourism officials have previously emphasized that partnerships with internationally recognized sports organizations are intended to strengthen Rwanda’s global profile and encourage more visitors to explore the country. Football supporters welcomed the announcement on social media, with many expressing enthusiasm about receiving updated shirts before the new campaign begins, while others noted that the complimentary branding service demonstrates the club’s commitment to its fans and commercial partners alike.
