President Zelensky reveals coordinated attack on facilities supplying drone components, oil depot, and maritime targets
KYIV — President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed Saturday that Ukrainian forces conducted a coordinated series of strikes against two major Russian logistics facilities in the Moscow and Tambov regions, alongside an oil depot and multiple maritime targets, in what marks one of the deepest operations inside Russian territory since the war began.
In a statement on Telegram, Zelensky said the targeted logistics hubs were situated more than 500 and approximately 700 kilometers from the front line, emphasizing their strategic role in supplying sanctioned components for Russian drone and navigation equipment production.
“These facilities were not civilian infrastructure — they were operational nodes supporting Russia’s military supply chain,” Zelensky stated, crediting the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF), Special Operations Forces (SSO), Armed Forces of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) for executing the coordinated operation.
The president confirmed that the strikes also successfully targeted an oil facility, as well as positions in the Azov and Black seas and occupied Crimea.
USF Claims Responsibility for Warehouse Strike
Following the president’s announcement, the 1st Separate Center of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces claimed responsibility for the strike on a sprawling Wildberries logistics warehouse in Elektrostal, located in the Moscow region. The military unit released video footage showing thick smoke billowing from the 188,000-square-meter complex, which operates as the company’s second-largest logistics hub by order processing volume.
Casualties Reported at Second Facility
In the Tambov region, a drone strike ignited a fire at a separate Wildberries logistics complex in the Kotovsk Industrial Park. Local Russian authorities reported that seven Wildberries employees were killed in the attack on the Kotovsk facility.
Oil Depot Also Targeted
The overnight operation additionally struck the Noginsk oil depot in the Moscow region, where eyewitnesses reported explosions followed by a significant fire. The facility, which operates as an independent fuel market operator, contains 24 reservoirs with a total capacity of 11,500 cubic meters. The depot serves as a central logistics node for traders and fuel companies in the Moscow region, storing and transferring gasoline, diesel fuel, and kerosene.
The strikes come as Ukraine continues to demonstrate its growing long-range strike capability against Russian military infrastructure far beyond the front lines, targeting facilities that support Moscow’s war effort.
