Washington DC – KTN Rwanda has received continental recognition after being named among Africa’s top-performing organizations during the 2026 edition of the 100 Legendary African Dignitaries Leadership Conference and Awards, an event that celebrates individuals and institutions making meaningful contributions to economic growth, innovation, and sustainable development across the continent. The awards ceremony was held in Kigali and brought together senior government officials, diplomats, business leaders, investors, academics, and distinguished guests from several African countries to honor organizations and leaders whose work continues to create lasting positive impact in their respective sectors.
The recognition highlights KTN Rwanda’s growing role in Rwanda’s real estate industry, where the company has spent more than a decade developing planned residential communities equipped with essential infrastructure. Since beginning operations in 2011, KTN Rwanda has focused on identifying land, preparing it for development, and providing fully serviced residential and commercial plots with roads, water, electricity, internet connectivity, and the necessary legal documentation required for ownership and construction. The company has built its reputation by promoting orderly urban development while helping expand access to affordable land for families and investors.
Over the past 13 years, KTN Rwanda has contributed to improving housing opportunities by offering developed plots at prices designed to accommodate a broad range of buyers. The company has also established partnerships with financial institutions that enable salaried employees, including those earning modest incomes, to access financing for land purchases. This approach has helped make property ownership more attainable while supporting Rwanda’s broader vision of planned urbanization and sustainable community development.
Following the announcement of the award, KTN Rwanda Founder and Chief Executive Officer Hagenimana Philémon expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as an important acknowledgment of the company’s daily commitment to delivering quality services. He emphasized that the achievement belongs not only to the company but also to its customers, whose trust and continued support have played a significant role in KTN Rwanda’s growth. According to him, the award reinforces the organization’s determination to continue improving its services while contributing to Rwanda’s long-term development.
Hagenimana explained that the recognition comes at a time when the company is expanding its ambitions through larger-scale projects designed to transform communities. He noted that KTN Rwanda is advancing its Smart Green City initiative, a development model that seeks to create well-planned neighborhoods featuring modern infrastructure, environmentally responsible planning, and improved living conditions. The project envisions the development of significantly larger land areas, with the goal of building sustainable communities that balance urban growth with environmental conservation and quality public services.

KTN Rwanda says its long-term mission is to become a leading real estate developer by providing affordable residential and commercial plots while helping develop new urban centers that meet the demands of Rwanda’s growing population. Beyond land development, the company offers a wide range of real estate services, including property management, land registration support, lease documentation, construction permits, and ownership certification. Its leadership says every project is guided by principles of integrity, accountability, legal compliance, transparency, and customer-centered service, values that have strengthened its position within Rwanda’s competitive real estate sector.
In a message shared following the award, CEO Hagenimana reaffirmed the company’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, strategic partnerships, and responsible investment. He stated that KTN Rwanda remains focused on delivering comprehensive real estate solutions that create lasting value for clients while contributing to the country’s economic transformation and urban development goals.
The continental awards also recognized outstanding leaders from various sectors across Africa. Among those honored was Kenyan Senator and entrepreneur Tabitha Karanja Keroche, founder of Keroche Breweries, who encouraged fellow recipients to view the recognition not simply as a celebration of past achievements but as motivation to continue building institutions and businesses that will inspire future generations of African entrepreneurs. She emphasized that Africa’s development will be driven by Africans who invest in their own communities and create opportunities that extend beyond their individual success.
Professor George Kimathi, Vice Chancellor of the University of Kigali, also addressed participants during the event, noting that the awards recognize individuals and organizations that have effectively used their talents, leadership positions, and resources to advance Africa’s development. He encouraged young people to learn from the achievements of the award recipients by embracing innovation, hard work, and a commitment to serving their communities.
For KTN Rwanda, the continental recognition represents another milestone in its journey from a locally established real estate company to a developer with an expanding vision for sustainable communities. As Rwanda continues to experience rapid urbanization and increased demand for organized housing, the company says it will continue investing in infrastructure-led developments that improve how people live, work, and invest while supporting the country’s long-term aspirations for modern, inclusive, and environmentally sustainable cities.
