Comedy enthusiasts in Kigali are in for an electrifying evening as the Gen Z Comedy Show marks its three-year anniversary with a spectacular lineup featuring top comedians from Rwanda and Uganda. The celebration takes place today, Thursday, at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (formerly Camp Kigali), the longstanding home of the beloved bi-monthly event.
Ugandan comedy heavyweights, led by Comedy Store host Alex Muhangi, arrived in Kigali on Wednesday, March 26, ahead of the milestone celebration. Muhangi, who graced the Gen Z stage in September 2024, was joined by Kenneth Pablo Kimuli, MC Mariachi, Maluana & Reign, and musician Karole Kasita, all ready to light up the stage. MC Mariachi, along with comedy duo Madrat and Chiko, followed later that evening to complete the star-studded lineup.
These accomplished performers will share the spotlight with Rwanda’s own comedy stars, including Patrick Rusine and a host of emerging talents who gained fame through the Gen Z Comedy Show concept. Names such as Ambassador Wabakonsomateri, Muhinde, Pirate, and Umushumba are poised to bring their unique charm and humor to the stage.
As fans gather to celebrate three years of unrivaled comedy, the Gen Z Comedy Show continues to unite cultures and showcase the vibrant comedic talent from across East Africa.
