President Donald Trump has drawn a hard line with tech mogul Elon Musk, warning him not to offer financial backing to Democratic candidates. Trump reportedly threatened “major consequences” if Musk proceeds with supporting the rival party.

The warning appears to follow reports that Musk has shown interest in aiding centrist Democrats in the upcoming election cycle, hoping to promote political moderation. Trump, however, interpreted the move as a betrayal. “Elon can’t think he’ll help the radical left and get off scot-free,” Trump allegedly told close associates.

Their relationship, which has fluctuated over the years, now seems beyond repair. Sources say the final straw for Trump was Musk amplifying allegations of Trump’s past association with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. Trump has long denied any improper links.

Insiders claim the president has cut ties for good. “Mention Epstein and you cross a line,” a Trump aide commented. “There’s no coming back from that.”

While Musk hasn’t publicly announced political donations to Democrats, he has advocated for a more moderate political landscape. He has also criticized both major party leaders, expressing a desire for “fresh leadership” in American politics.

The feud between two of the nation’s most influential figures could ripple through the 2024 race, especially with Musk’s strong online presence and financial clout.
