The 2025 edition of the Sensitive PMC Golf League concluded on Saturday, December 6, at Kigali Golf Resorts & Villas, attracting more than 200 amateur golfers and 18 professionals in one of Rwanda’s biggest golf events of the year.
Sezibera and Nsanzuwera Crowned Champions
In the amateur men’s category, Gerald Sezibera emerged victorious, earning the tournament’s honorary winner’s jacket. In the women’s amateur category, Irene Wanjiku claimed the top spot. Both champions received Kenya Airways flight tickets to a destination of their choice within the region.
Among professional players, Nsanzuwera Célestin dominated the men’s competition, taking home a 3 million Frw cash prize, while Irakoze Sylvie won the women’s professional category.

20 Million Frw Car Prize Goes Unclaimed
A major highlight of the tournament was the 20 million Frw Riddara RD6 car, offered by Britam Insurance as a “Hole‑in‑One” prize. The reward would go to any player who managed to sink their first shot directly into the hole — but no golfer achieved the feat, leaving the grand prize unclaimed.
Additional Rewards and Hospitality Packages
Players also received various hospitality prizes, including luxury accommodation and services at Mövenpick Kigali and Radisson Blu Hotel, recognizing outstanding performances across different categories.
Organizers Promise Bigger, Regional Tournament in 2026
During the awards ceremony, Wilson Mugwema, CEO of Sensitive Group, praised the success of the ninth edition of the tournament and announced plans to expand next year’s event to include golfers from across the East African region.
“This ninth edition exceeded our expectations. As we prepare for the 10‑year anniversary next year, we plan to welcome even more players from the region,” Mugwema said.
Since its inception in 2016, nine golfers have lifted the Sensitive PMC Golf League trophy: Kelly Doran, Kennedy Mirichu, Bheki Mthembu, Arthur Magunga, James Muigai, Innocent Rutamu (twice), David Rwiyamirira, and now Gerald Sezibera.
A Celebration of Golf and Community
The final day featured vibrant moments on and off the course, with Rwanda’s national team captains Stella Matutina and Benjamin Mukisa among the notable participants. The event also drew senior figures from Kigali Golf Club, including President Byusa Marcel, and concluded with a lively awards ceremony hosted by MC Shema Brian.
The 2025 edition reaffirmed the PMC Golf League’s status as one of Rwanda’s premier golf competitions, blending high‑level play, community engagement, and growing regional ambition.
