Trump’s imposition of 25% tariffs on Canadian goods and provocative suggestions that Canada should become the 51st U.S. state have stirred nationalistic sentiments across the country. These developments have significantly influenced the political landscape, bolstering support for Prime Minister Mark Carney’s Liberal Party, which had previously been trailing in the polls.
