KIGALI β In a significant move to boost domestic revenue for community development, the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) has officially partnered with MOJA Group Inc. to manage the country’s National Lottery for the next decade.
The 10-year partnership agreement was formally signed this Tuesday by Jean-Guy Afrika, Chief Executive Officer of the RDB, and Georges Boukazi, Chief Executive Officer of MOJA Group Inc.
Under the terms of the newly minted agreement, MOJA Group Inc. will execute the project through its local subsidiary, MOJA Rwanda Ltd. The company is tasked with managing and operating the National Lottery in strict compliance with international gaming standards, ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability across all its platforms.
Beyond offering a regulated entertainment platform, the revitalized National Lottery is designed with a strong public-interest mandate. According to the joint announcement, the financial proceeds generated from the lottery’s operations will be heavily reinvested into the community. These funds are earmarked to support various socio-economic initiatives, infrastructure developments, and beneficial public programs spanning the entire country.
This strategic long-term partnership marks a major milestone in Rwanda’s efforts to leverage a securely regulated lottery sector as a sustainable avenue for funding national development and community welfare projects.
