Washington, D.C. — President Donald Trump announced early this morning on Truth Social that the missing American crew member has been successfully rescued and is now “safe and sound” following what he described as one of the most daring search-and-rescue missions in U.S. history.
“WE GOT HIM! My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Military pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations in U.S. History,” Trump wrote.
According to the President, the rescued service member is a “highly respected Colonel” who had been trapped behind enemy lines in the mountainous terrain of Iran. U.S. forces reportedly monitored his location “24 hours a day” before executing the mission.
Trump confirmed the Colonel sustained injuries during the ordeal but assured the nation that “he will be just fine.”
The President also revealed that this mission followed the successful recovery of another pilot yesterday, which was kept confidential to avoid jeopardizing the second operation.
“WE WILL NEVER LEAVE AN AMERICAN WARFIGHTER BEHIND!” Trump emphasized.
In his post, Trump highlighted that the mission was carried out “without a SINGLE American killed, or even wounded,” despite reports of engagement between U.S. and Iranian forces during the rescue.
He concluded his message with a patriotic sign-off:
