Arsenal’s bid to reinforce their attacking options has received a timely boost, with RB Leipzig reportedly softening their valuation of Slovenian forward Benjamin Šeško to €70 million. The Gunners, long admirers of the 22-year-old, now find themselves better positioned to secure a marquee summer signing.

Šeško impressed last season with 21 goals in 45 appearances, and although under contract until 2029, his openness to a move has kept top European clubs—Arsenal, Manchester City, and Real Madrid—on alert. However, insiders suggest the Emirates outfit have taken the lead, thanks to their clear project vision and persistent courtship.

While no official bids have been lodged, dialogue between Arsenal executives and Šeško’s representatives is said to be active. A wave of transfer speculation has also been stoked by subtle social media signals, including Šeško following Arsenal on Instagram and a cryptic holiday post from his barber in Mykonos.

Leipzig’s revised stance, down from an earlier asking price of €80–€100 million, reflects a growing willingness to negotiate amid respectful talks led by the striker’s agent, Elvis Basanović. “We won’t force a move,” he told reporters. “But the project must be right, and Leipzig must be respected.”

Mikel Arteta, fresh from two consecutive second-place Premier League finishes, is reportedly eager to bring in a clinical front man as Arsenal look to close the gap on their title rivals. Šeško’s youth, physicality, and Bundesliga pedigree align with the club’s long-term ambitions.

With pre-season looming, all eyes remain on north London as Arsenal prepare to ignite their summer business—with Benjamin Šeško now emerging as the centerpiece of their forward blueprint.
