Rwanda and Mali have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation in defence and security following high-level talks held in Kigali between Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda, and Mali’s Ambassador to Rwanda, Brigadier General Boubacar Diallo. The meeting underscored the growing partnership between the two African nations and highlighted their shared interest in strengthening collaboration to address regional and continental security priorities.
According to information released by Rwanda’s Ministry of Defence, the discussions focused on identifying practical avenues to enhance the existing relationship between the two countries, with particular attention given to defence cooperation, institutional collaboration, and the exchange of expertise.
